Why would you bother to nitpick over semantics on a comic, when the authors intentions were expressed in a clear and concise manner. I doubt anyone (other than you) who read this initially thought, "Well if his goal is speed then thats easy! hur hur." The fact you were acknowledged at all speaks volumes for the author, though caving in to your borderline obsessive compulsive bs only guides you to do it again. In reality, speed isn't the ultimate goal... It's HOW fast. When you set a goal, you don't say "My goal is speed" you say, "My goal is to achieve the speed of sound".
