The best sale is one where you can figure out what the price will actually be.
Sale items are so complicated 🙁
I know! It’d be a lot easier if they just gave away the stuff for free.
But free stuff always has a catch
I guess, but it’s probably still better than trying to figure out the discount price!
And so does Winky’s calculations Bearman!
My calculations have a catch?
Its a ball! You want a catch!
Playing catch sounds like a lot more fun than calculating the sale price.
I am pretty good at math and Winky lost me with that complicated calculation!
I think I lost me in that calculation, too.
Winky’s heart is in it, but his head lost it’s calculator.
I’m not sure my head ever had a calculator.
How come that just don’t say what the new price is?
I don’t know! It’d be a lot easier on my brain!
I like how in some stores they will have a list that defines if at the prices this will be the discount. I see them mainly in department stores.
That would be a lot better for me!
Bwahahahahaha. Math can be so challenging to people but to some wombats it’s impossible.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
I wouldn’t say math is impossible for me, but it’s, well–okay, maybe it is.
Best wait till the special sale has finished Fraz. That seems to indicate that food products that say 99% fat free are reallt fatty then.
Hmm, I never thought about the food angle. Never trust percentages!
I always thought percentages were just out to make trouble. I never did like them
Percentages can be rather sneaky!
sales just make us buy stuff we don’t need – I try to avoid them! 🙂
That’s probably good advice. Except when chocolate is on sale, and then you just have to buy it.
and wine gums 😉
Man, Winky’s got me totally confused. It’s like reverse math, whatever that is.
I was never much good at math. Does that mean I’d be really good at reverse math?
If you think 2 + 2 = 0, then yea. Head of the class in reverse math.
That works out in chocolate math, too. 2 chocolates + 2 chocolates = 0 chocolates, at least when I’m around.
Wow $95… Now that is the mother of all maths lessons, now where is the chocolate I need some after that shock 🙂
I think I ate about $95 worth of chocolate after that brain teaser!
That’s some serious math! 🙂
It seemed like it, but I think I might have gotten the answer wrong.
Sales! that can draw lots of attention… but % off, numbers & throw math into the equation @!@@!#! I’m lost with Winky in this boat. Just show me to chocolate aisle!!!
Lets celebrate New years at the Chocolate Bar! 😉
Maybe we can sail (haha!) that boat to the chocolate bar and celebrate New Years there!
Sail, it might be chilly… but the winds are right for it 😉
Now did you get a heads up on where the best chocolate sails are? 🙂
No, but I’m hoping for some good New Years chocolate clearance sales!
Take your calculator to the store with you.
Enter the % amount, multiplied by the full price, divided by 100. The answer will give you the amount off the original price.
My calculator is Binky. He’s always right. Well, at least he thinks he is.
Dang! They really stick it to ya at the check-out aisle!
Some sales just aren’t worth it!
Hmmm, why do I always feel this way about sales when my kid comes home and says she has ‘SAVED so much money’???? W.C.C.
I guess you can save more by not buying anything, but it’s not nearly as much fun.
WOW! That’s some serious calculating. Wait, what?
I think I might have carried the wrong decimal or something.
What a math whiz!
Doesn’t look like Winky buys many things during sales with that math. 🙂
If I was rich, I’d buy all my stuff on sale!
Winky are you talking “rich chocolate”? that is how I like mine, dark & rich… free is better, but I have yet to find any. heck by the time I got to the store all the sale chocolates were gone! already getting ready for Valentines , so at least another chocolate holiday is not far behind.
I like dark and rich chocolate, too!
Free chocolate is pretty hard to find, but at least Valentines isn’t too far away! What would we do without chocolate holidays?
You know, you’re not that wrong. Prices usually get horribly marked up before any sort of discount.
And they seem to get marked up after the discount, too!
Fraz!!! you should ask Binky for stuff like this!!
Sorry Wink, you should ask Binky too 😉
Yeah, you’re right Kroten. Though I don’t like to admit it.
Hahaha… sounds like Winky and I share similar math ‘skills’.
For 95 dollars that ball should be a genuine ‘Cast Away’ ‘Wilson’!
Maybe it was! I didn’t see any face on it, though.
On the upside, Winky would save lots of money by not buying anything!
That’s probably true. But I’m having trouble calculating how much money I’d save.
quick give him some chocolat before his brain fries. My brain fries when I try to do math.
That’s an great idea! If I had chocolate every time I did math, I might even learn to like it!
You need to enroll him in my class. I’ll teach him how to figure out sale prices.
Does your math class involve chocolate? I wouldn’t mind counting chocolates!
Except that when she says “subtract 3”, if you eat three, you’ll have to spit them back out when she tells you to add them back
I guess I should avoid subtraction and division, then. But I’m looking forward to multiplication!
Have a very Happy New Year in 2012
my wickedly fine and great Wombies
of Wombania and keep eating all the
Chocolates 🙂 I always do 🙂
Thanks, Andro. We all hope you have a great and Happy New Year too! Filled with chocolates, of course!
Happy New Year, Binky, Twink, Winky, Fraz and Chris!
Happy New Year, Deb!
You guys should ask Binky about math stuff. One thing bad about prices is that they always cost… some.
Binky would be able to figure it out way easier than me, but I still think a free stuff sale would be a lot simpler!
Happy New Year, Wombanians! 🙂
Happy New Years, Sabina!
HAHA actually, this reminds me. In China, when you see a sale sign saying “90%” it’s actually reversed, as in you pay for the 10%. So when I first saw those 90%s, I got really excited only to find out the truth…and a happy new year Binky!
So if it says 90% off, it’s really 10% off? Or is that 10% on? Now I’m really confused. I’d better not go shopping in China!
I think Winky needs a calculator. I’d be lost without one, too!
If I knew there was going to be math, I would have brought Binky. He’s my calculator.
