If you are what you eat, but don’t know what it is you’re eating, does that make for an identity crisis?
Especially since “expert” opinion on whether those ingredients are good or bad for you keeps changing.
At least as I noted in my latest post, beer has been proven good for us men at least!
I figure if I eat everything, some of it has to be good for me!
This is why…..
Wheat glucose syrup, sugar, acid treated starch (wheat and tapioca), gelatine, water, food acids (296, 330), flavours, vegetable fat, colours (102, 110, 122, 122)
*OM NOM NOM*
I can never get enough wheat glucose syrup!
It’s the contents of Wine Gums!!!!
See, I can’t get enough of it! Or them.
I’m never reading the ingredients of anything I like.
what the heck are wine gums?! Seem to be missing this fine product in the US.
Sounds like a disease due to alcoholism… but making for great b******s.
America is a wine gum free country.
Wine gums are like ju-jubes, but are chewier and have much better flavors! You can read about them here.
Don’t get too excited Rachael, they contain NO alcohol. Hmm, but wouldn’t that be cool if they did!!!!!!
Then I wouldn’t be able to eat them!!
Chewy wine drops. I need a pound.
A pound of wine gums doesn’t last me very long!
I do not eat that many non-chocolate sweets. It could get me started!
Chocolate and wine gums are all you need!
Those are some of my favorites!
I’m all about ‘castle cakes’! Ignorance is bliss!
Especially when you’re eating Castle Cakes!
Castle cakes? are those like Little Debbies?
Castle Cakes are more like big Debbies. I think they’re only available in Wombania
There were some in Camelot too 🙂
I’ve never been to Camelot, but I guess I’m not surprised! They’re supposed to have good stuff in Camelot!
Scared of getting sued?
Sued for what? Liking Castle Cakes??
There are lots of good knights in Camelot but beware the one with the feathered shield 🙁
Okay, Ill look out for that one.
Even if I wanted to read the ingredients I wouldn’t be able to pronounce them!
I don’t bother pronouncing them, I just eat them.
I like this way of approaching things. Bwahahahahaha.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
So do I! And it tastes pretty good, too.
Meh, he wouldn’t understand all those big words in the ingredient list anyway lol
No, but I still like them.
Me too Winky 🙂
Go on, eat it…you only live once. Just don’t know for how long though.
That’s my food philosophy!
All those preservatives should make you live longer.
Then I should live forever!
Hahaha! Wise words indeed, Winky!
I live my life by junk food!
Couldn’t have said it better, Winky the wise wombat
I’m wise about food!
Who has time to read ingredients anyway? There’s snacking to be done!
Exactly! Time reading is eating time wasted!
I think that Merlin had a similar idea on that one but Sir Lancelot didn’t care for the use of those magnetised fortified cup cakes either 🙂
Well I don’t think these Castle Cakes are magnetized, but maybe after eating them I should see if I stick to the fridge.
Maybe SIG could help with that scenario? Being that he is the Refrigerator Magnate 🙂
I never thought of that! That is his specialty. I wonder if SIG is magnetic?
He will never tell. We will have to ask Annabelle.
Maybe if we bribe her with wine gums she’ll tell. I would.
Bring some chocolate just in case. All women love chocolate.
Yeah, chocolate should work!
Leave it to Tink to be the voice of nutritiousness… and spoil a good snacky time. If it has chocolate in it somewhere it has to be good!
Chocolate automatically makes anything good, but these Castle Cakes don’t even have chocolate, and they’re still tasty!
I would like to sample those next Winky 🙂
You can have as many as you want! Just be careful around fridges and things, just in case.
Yes maybe we could form a line and throw them to each other so that there’s no danger of getting stuck to the fridge 🙂
That’s probably a good idea. If Castle Cakes are magnetic, with how many I’ve eaten, I might never be able to get unstuck from the fridge!
All the ingredients have more syllables than I have fingers. They must be high quality!
Yeah, if you can’t pronounce it, it must be good!
hahahahaha. Castle Cakes; the ultimate in great satire based on White Castle and Tastee Cakes. May have to have lived on the east coast here in the US to get that.
Loved the cartoon and dug the quote.
Thanks, Miss R. But actually I just made up the Castle Cakes since they looked like little castle turrets. Never lived on the US east coast.
I guess I’ll never enjoy life again since I’ve become a big label reader.
No! Cover your eyes! Or the labels!
Don’t you have to peel off the labels to eat them anyway? Sounds like labels are rubbish.
I don’t read the labels, and I don’t eat them either. I just like to ignore them.
My theory is…if you have to peel it off and throw it away, it did not have anything you really needed to know on it!
I can agree with that!
Don’t listen to her Winky! Keep on enjoying the good stuff!!
I don’t! And I will!!
NICE!!!! … So very true!!!
I think so!
Knowing that there’s plastic in food ruins a perfectly good meal.
Plastic definitely isn’t one of my top ten favorites.
ignorance is bliss. 🙂
Am I’m pretty blissful!
Yap, ignorance is bliss 😛
It’s better than knowing sometimes.
luckily I don’t really like cake. chocolate and wine gums are my downfall
Chocolate and wine gums are the best, but cake is right behind them for me!
How about pie?
Hear hear!! what a great advice Wink!!
If I mind the ingredient I wouldn’t eat my own poo 😉
Want some, Wink?
Um, no thanks Kroten! Wouldn’t you rather have some Castle Cakes?
What’s the ingredient Wink?
I don’t know and I don’t care! all that matters is that they’re good!
Once again, Winky with the sound advice. I will not look at the ingredients until my third heart attack.
And that way, you may never have to!
sometimes you really don’t want to know what you are ingesting.
Unless it’s chocolate!
Some things are better unknown. That’s why I never read the ingredients on sausages.
Yeah, I don’t think you want to know what goes into them!
I notice that all six cakes are out of the box, and are being enjoyed by all 🙂
Yep, and that’s just the first round!
Let’s hurry up and eat them and move on to rounds two, three and forty seven 🙂
I’m with you on that!! I hope we have enough!
LOVE that last line! You should put that on a t-shirt!
Never thought of that. That’s a good idea!
Great advice. It also makes everything good for you this way.
If it tastes good, it has to be good for you!
The ingredient listings are often incomprehensible anyway!
Maybe that’s the secret of making something taste good!
As long as there aren’t any castles in there, you’re doing good.
That’s one ingredient that probably wouldn’t be too tasty.
I love how the little guy’s nose is barely above the table top.
Fraz forgot to bring his books to sit on.
That can be said for alot of food items.
Yeah, that’s why I say it’s better to eat them than to read them!
I never read em either, makes me feel guilty =P
It’s better to enjoy the treats, than to read them!
