The universe is a big place, infinite or not.
And possible lots of chocolate out there. 😉
That’s the best part!
And someone could have ate part of it. This was pretty deep.
Have a fabulous day. 🙂
Yeah. Too much thinking isn’t good for you. I prefer a deep chocolate cake.
Maybe “Nothingness” is just empty “Somethingness” waiting to be filled? (possibly with chocolate)
I think that’s the best theory I’ve ever heard!
I’m with you Winky!
I think we should go eat a chocolate cake!
Okay, I’ve got the cake!
Hmmm… Seems to me that the earth could still be unique, and the other possibilities in an infinite universe to be well… infinite. It’s just that the finite mind can’t comprehend infinity. [I have to go lie down now…] 🙄
If you believe the earth and solar system is an event born out of circumstance, then in an infinite universe those exact circumstances would be repeated and infinite number of times. And with an infinite number of occurrences, however improbable, things would eventually turn out as they have here on earth in other places throughout the universe as well. However crazy that sounds.
Well… that’s if you consider the circumstance to be one based on chance and probabilities. On the other hand, if you consider that circumstance to be one of design, and beyond what we know, then we can’t be sure if there is repetition or not. You know, our tendency to think of the universe as repeating itself, might just be our inability to comprehend infinity itself. Perhaps when we reach the limit of what we know, we put up another reflection of the knowledge we already have. ‘Maybe’…
Well that is another way to look at it. The more we know, or think we know about reality, the stranger things get. Undoubtedly, a great deal of what we know will turn out to be wrong. There are many competing and contradictory theories or explanations, all of which cannot be true. Infinity is one of those concepts that is probably impossible for us to truly grasp. The true nature of reality and our existence will probably always be open to speculation. It is a fascinating subject, that may just be beyond our ability to comprehend.
Well said. I couldn’t have put it better myself. 🙂
It had to be food related 😆 lol
Most things are!
Especially when it’s
you and me 😆 ☺ 😃
Yeah. We need to have some tea and cake!
Good idea 😃
I’ll bring the cake! And cookies!
Everyone contemplates these things at one time or another. 🙂
And it’s so confusing!
Binky, does it make you a bit sad that you can’t find an intellectual equal to have a conversation with?
Yes. I think perhaps I should build an android so that I could have an intelligent discussion with someone.
Make it so! -Jean-Luc Picard
Good idea. I’ll make a Jean-Luc Picard android.
I should’ve read this AFTER coffee. 🙂
It still doesn’t make sense to me even after coffee AND chocolate!
Chocolate! That’s what’s beyond the edge of the universe!
I sure hope so! Now how do we get there??
Brilliant work getting
everything back to normal
Peter, and for upgrading
your security ☺
A sterling job for sure, feel
free to help yourself to some,
well deserved cookies, hmm
that’s if the Wombues haven’t
eaten them all already 😃
Thanks, Andro. It’s mostly back to working properly, but the “Recent Comments” plugin still needs some work.
I’ll try to get some cookies!
