Dust Bunny Dinosaur
When dust bunnies get together, bad things are bound to happen.
Debbie Adams painted Fraz racing on his super-fast flamingo, Ferrari. Ferrari is the world’s fastest Ferrari, and Fraz likes to go fast. Deb’s original post of Ferrari Flamingo and Fraz can be seen on her blog.
Vacuuming makes them go extinct.
Then maybe I shouldn’t vacuum at all!
You shouldn’t, it’s taking up your chocolate eating time anyway.
I like how you think! No more vacuuming for me!
Or any other chore that cuts into it either.
Nope. I’m a full-time chocolate eater now! Well, other than running my chocolate factory!
Yeah, and you’d never let dust collect on your chocolate.
Nope, that would never happen!
Glad to hear it, Winky, dust on the your chocolate would only make you more thirsty. But thirsty isn’t so bad as long as you have a large chocolate peanut butter shake!
A large shake would help. But I like to keep all my chocolate dust free!
I guess eating faster is the best way to avoid that….I hear a race coming on again.
A chocolate eating race? Oh boy!
I love to race, but I can only have the dog friendly chocolate you made.
I think I could beat you in an eating race, but you could probably beat me in a running race.
I’ll run to get the chocolate and you can hurry at eating it!
Sounds good to me!
save the dust bunnies – don’t vacuum the corners 😆
That sounds like a good idea. I’m all for saving things!
Dust bunnies deserve a chance
Especially if it’s an excuse not to clean!
They are not bothering anyone under the settee anyway.
They bother me just knowing they’re there!
I’ll get them for you, Twink! 🙂
Thank you, Cici. I have a couple of milkbones for you.
Milkbones! One of my favorites! I’ll get all those mouses for you, Auntie Twink…I’m a mouser by nature.
Just don’t tell Winky!
He looks like a friendly Dust Dinosaur.
He didn’t bite anyone.
he looks like a multi tasking turkey to me in disguise of a dust bunny cleaning machine wow that was a mouthful hes in disguise in case anyone missed havin turkey this year but im onto it lol
If it was a turkey, it was a really good disguise!
These fresh turkeys are getting harder to find every year.
Maybe you should look under your couch.
I’ll remember to do that next October and November. 😉
Should be a good size by then!
😆 😆 😆
What is a couch, is it something in the garden? 🙂
You know, a sofa. Where you sit to watch TV. Or you can sleep on it, too.
Yeah, if my dust bunnies looked like that, I don’t think I would want to vacuum either.
They are kind of frightening.
Some even look as if they have eyes…and they move. Just pull one out and open the door and it will run across the room.
I think those ones might not be dust dinosaurs!
Yes they are, a draft has to hit them…you’ll see.
Oh, so they’re wind-powered.
No, that’s like farting. More like, wind responsive.
Oh, okay. So a windmill is wind responsive?
If you say so. 🙂
I wasn’t saying, I was asking based on what you said before! Now I’m just confused.
I’m getting confuse too. All I know is when you open a door and there is a draft that hits a dust bunny it will blow them around a little.
If you hold our dust bunny in your hand and blow on it and can fly off you hand.
Dust bunnies hardly weigh anything. Sort of like me! Well, okay, not really like me.
No, not like you, Winky. It would take more than a breeze to knock you over.
Yeah, I guess I’m pretty solid.
Like a sold chocolate bunny?
I think even more solid!
Oh, your more like a frozen solid one.
That’s me! Hard as a rock!
I bet I can soften you with this super sized bowl of ice cream.
Yeah, I’m a softy for that!
Fight night! I’m having a big bowl of ice cream myself, and thought I’d bring you another.
Thanks Deb! I just had a bowl of maple walnut ice cream. But I needed some more!
You know it’s time to vacuum when you find that your cobwebs have cobbs in them.
And a bunch of other stuff in them, too!
Let the spiders catch the bunnies. Then, no more vacuuming.
As long as you don’t have a problem with spiders!
Ha! If it makes Winky feel any better my apartment is starting to look like Jurassic Park.
🙂
Maybe you could sell tickets!
Hey, I might consider buying one of those. 😉
It’d be a fun attraction!
Hmm…What would make a good headline?
Jurassic Park: The Dust Dinosaur Exhibit!
You get the tickets…I’ll pop some popcorn now! 🙂
Sounds like fun!
As much fun as a double trouble, triple layered chocolate fudge cake?
Well, I don’t know about that. It’s pretty hard to beat a double trouble, triple layered chocolate fudge cake! I think I want one of those now.
Passing you two larges ones now. 😉
Just in time for lunch! Thanks, Deb!
Your most welcome, Winky…Hey, save me a bite, I’m kind of hungry too. 🙂
Of course! But you’d better hurry. They’re really good and won’t last long!
That was good, thanks. You eat the rest.
That won’t be hard!
I’m tired. I just pulled on this rope with a small wagon on the end of it with another one of those cakes mom made for you!
How come I have to do all the work?
I don’t know, but I’ll make sure you get some extra treats today for being so helpful.
Yaaaay!…thanks Winky! I’ll even go back home and pull another wagon of cake over for you! 🙂
I’ll never refuse a wagon of cake!
I’ll never refuse a wagon or doggie treats!
How about a wheelbarrow full of doggie treats?
Nope I won’t refuse that either! But might need help pushing it.
I can dump it wherever you want!
I always wonder, what is dust bunny?
A dust bunny is a small ball of dust and/or hair and lint and debris that gathers under furniture or in corners that aren’t regularly cleaned.
You had to remind me, didn’t you.
Just ignore him! I always do.
Too late, the words are etched in my mind.
Dust bunnies are really cute little fluff bunnies who live under your couch.
Not anymore…..
Did you evict them?
Yeah, I ran the dust mop around a bit.
Poor fluffy dust bunnies!
Don’t worry, they always come back. 🙂
Yeah, they do, don’t they?
Yes, they will always come back. You never truly get rid of them.
Too bad chocolate wasn’t like that! You eat it, and then it comes back!
I hope yall don’t even think that yall are going to motivate me into dustin’ and cleanin’ up anything. Valuable stuff can be lost that way.
Well too much of it could make it come back…back up that is.
Just let the dust lay, Bo. It will only come back anyway. 😉
That’s another good reason not to clean. You might lose stuff!
I toss things out when I clean and forget I did that, then go looking around for something I don’t have anymore.
I hope you never clean my chocolate cupboard!
Don’t worry, Winky, I’d never throw out a spec of chocolate.
Good. You had me worried for a minute!
Never worry about that Winky! I’m int bringing you chocolate, like right now….chocolate cake and chocolate milkshake. 🙂
Mmmm…
Aaah…so that’s what it means!
Thank you for the explanation Peter 🙂
cute name for a dirt 😉
The name definitely makes dirt sound friendlier.
Indeed!! Makes you want to pet it rather than get rid of it 😉
I could open up a dust bunny petting zoo!
I thought those were extinct, guess not.
Not around our place!
I think I may have some of those dust dinosaurs too. Bwahahahahahahaha.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
I think there’s probably a lot more dust dinosaurs around than people know.
That ones huge! Maybe you could just keep it, name it, and feed it.
A pet dust dinosaur! I like it! I think I’ll name it Fuzzy.
Fuzzy it is! Now you best tell Winky to turn off that Vacuum or you’ll have to save Fuzzy from all the other lint and crumbs.
Don’t worry! Fuzzy was too big to go down the hose. So I saved him!
Yaaaay, the dust bunny lives! When it get’s big and strong enough it can help you do you chores.
Maybe my homework too!
I doubt that, but it can gather the other dust bunnies around your desk.
That doesn’t really sound like fun.
It’s not. But they can tickle you nose if you breath too close to them.
Maybe I should wear a mask when I do my homework then.
Only if you let is sit on you desk.
I’d let it sit there forever if Twink didn’t nag me to do it.
Your homework?
Yeah. I don’t like homework.
Because it takes up play time?
Yeah!
You could make a game out of your homework.
The game I’d like to make out of my homework is see if I can lose it!
Drop it on the floor, and I’ll eat it!
OK! I bet my teacher won’t believe it though.
She could x-ray my tummy.
Maybe you could come to school with me Monday as proof: “The dog ate my homework, and this is the dog!”
I’ll go with you! I’ll tell them I ate it! Then you’ll be off the hook.
And off the book too I hope!
Yeah! Not lets have some of our treats. Chocolate for you, and dog treats for me
More treats and less homework! That’s what I say!
Thank you for posting, Fraz on Ferrari! 🙂
Look at Fraz go! 🙂
We make a good team! Ferrari’s really fast!
I know she fast. She’s so fast that she can run from your island to mine on the water…it’s almost like she flying! You be able to come over for milkshakes and chocolate, peanut butter cookies any time you want this summer.
That’ll be great! Ferrari’s like that lizard that can run on water!
Exactly…what’s that lizzard’s name, Fraz, maybe they can meet somewhere on the water.
They could I guess. But Ferrari’s way bigger than that lizard. And she’s way cooler too!
Not for a date…a race. Of course Ferrari is cooler…she’s your Flamingo!
Oh! Ferrari would win any race for sure!
She has waterproof, bionic sneakers too, and can carry a lot of weight…chocolate pick up weight….and treasure!
Yeah, she’s strong and fast! Even Winky can ride her!
She can hold the both of you and it still won’t slow her down!
Her legs look thin, but she’s got big muscles!
There very lean. She can take long strides too.
Yep! Ferrari’s a real racer!
Where has she taken you so far?
To the point and to town and to the pier and to my island of course!
Once summer gets here she want to stay at your island most of the time.
Probably. But she can still run me across the water to the mainland why I want to visit you or the other guys!
Of course she will, and she is just as welcome as you are. And the sound is right behind us so she like spending some time out there when you came visit. And you know what else? Once your done at my place she can get you across the sound so you can visit Winky’s Chocolate house.
Ferrari’s like a speedboat and a race car all in one! Plus she’s a nice friend too!
What’s her favorite food?
Her favorite food is shrimp! She can have it! She doesn’t even like chocolate.
She don’t like chocolate? She don’t seem to mind hauling it for you.
No, she doesn’t mind. But she likes to eat little fish and things like that.
There’s lots of that around our islands…she’ll never go hungry.
I think that’s why she really likes it around here. And she can meet up with her bird friends too.
She’s really enjoy meeting up with the Egrets and Herons.
She gets gets all her bird gossip from them!
I imagine they get a good bit from her too. 🙂
I wonder if Ferrari tells stories about me?
I’m sure most of her conversations are about you…all good ones too!
What other kind of stories are there about me?
There the one about how your stuck to the wall longer when we play toss and stick. But even that’s a good story! 🙂
Dink is spending a few moments in his room for using my name when he posted.
I told Binky about it and he fixed it. Poor Dink!
Yeah, that’s not too bad of a story. I hope Genie doesn’t tell any of her stories!
It’s okay, Fraz. I didn’ t have to spend much time in my room. I just needed to think about how me doing that causes confusion for others.
Maybe you could tell me some of the stories Genie has on you. I won’ t tell anyone cos we’re buddies.
I’ll tell you next time you come over. I think some other people can hear what we say here!
Good idea, Fraz, cos other are always reading about the things we say. I’ll be over next weekend with extra pillows for a pillow fight.
Yay! I can hardly wait! I hope you can bring some of aunt Deb’s milkshakes, too!
I will, and lots of chocolates and wine gums so we don’t eat up all of Twinks.
You don’t have to worry about chocolates. Winky will give us we want when we visit his factory! And Twink will make us all the pancakes we want.
Oh boy, that means I’ll have that much more room to pack other things, like the pogo sticks.
I’ve never used a pogo stick before!
It’s fun, Fraz, it’s good exercise, but mosty fun. We can jump on them over to Wink’s chocolate factory.
A pogo race, yay!
I’ve got a herd started over here… dust dinosaur herd…
🙂
Maybe you could make pets out of yours too, like aunt Deb said!
might do, as long as they be nice to Mama and Mimi (the cats) and don’t complain if they (the cats) “play” with them!
I think we could all get along!
🙂
They’ll get along just fine, just feed the big dust bunnies the little ones…helps them get big and strong.
They eat each other? Gross!
Well, maybe eat was the wrong word. They just kind of king on to to the big ones, or the little ones will ling to each other and become bigger. This is exactly what dust particles do.
Oh. You mean they just kinda join up together? That’s sounds better.
Yes, that’s what I mean!…thank you, Fraz!
You deserve a pan of peanut butter fudge and a shake!
I bet your dust bunny would like some too…they get kind of dry.
That sounds yummy! Fuzzy can have some too, as long as he doesn’t jump into the fudge and get it all icky.
Well don’t leave the fudge to sit out uncovered or Fuzzy’s relative will accumulate on it.
I don’t think you have to worry about the fudge sitting out for long with me and Winky around!
What will Fuzzy get to eat then?
Fuzzy better learn to be fast with the fudge when we’re around!
Yeah, or will be eating dust.
Yep!
I guess as long as you don’t have any dust dogs it should work!
Nope, no dust dogs. Just meat eating dogs.
But not cat eating dogs I hope!
No, of course not.
At least this kind of dinosaur won’t become extinct! 😀
They’re not likely to go extinct around my place!
My house is full of them. I have become a lazy housekeeper lately. Frazzie can come to my house and play with a zoo full of dust animals at my house. 🙂
I’ll be right over! I like zoo animals!
I don’t keep house as well as I did 30 years ago. So I get a few lurking here and there. Sometime when I see them…I just look the other way.
I bet the dust animals like your house as much as they like our house!
Bet they don’t. 😉
They don’t like your house? Are you mean to them?
I use to be…I was always sucking them up in the vacuum or dusting mopping them up. then violently shaking them off the mop off outside in the cold.
But not anymore…they’re learning to trust hanging around more little by little.
They have a few places to live in my room safely!! Maybe more than a few.
alot more…they’re kind of sneaky.
And I don’t go looking for them either!
No need, eventually they get big enough to see out in the open.
I hope the dust dinosaurs don’t try to take over my room!
They will if you don’t send them out to play once in a while. Don’t worry, they’ll return to you.
They said they don’t want to go out right now because it’s raining.
Oh, well then, that’s different. they’ll get all icky.
Yeah, I think the dust bunnies are afraid of water.
I think Cici is afraid of water too….she hates it on her.
I hate baths.
Me too! and I don’t like it when waves chase up at me either when I walk on the beach.
I guess waves can be pretty scary when you’re so little!
They are, and I’m only about 7 inches tall, and that includes the height with my head.
That’s pretty small! You could get lost easy!
They’re not prejudice, that’s for sure. They just seem to adjust well anywhere.
They’ve adjusted really well to our place.
Mine too. I let them gather in a dust mop now and then, but after a while they have a party in there too.
I think they’re having a really big party over here.
In the dust mop?
All over the house!
Get out the dust bunny mop and gather them in one place.
But I don’t want to break up their party!
Then put the mop away, and shake of the days dust for them to party on. 🙂
I bet they’d like that!
Did you do it?
I did. Now they’re having a huge party under the couch.
Well if the party gets too big, you could always lay some sticky paper down.
That would slow them down I bet!
Well it ought to keep them still for a while….maybe longer.
Maybe forever!
That’s a long time.
Yeah. Poor dust bunnies.
Free the dust bunnies!…I want to chase them!
I think you’ll have to chase some other dust bunnies. Theses ones are stuck down really good.
Can I go look in your room for some?
Of course! You can go anywhere you want!
I found one and it stuck to my nose and made me sneeze!…3 times!
They can do that to you! The next time you go sniffing for dust bunnies, maybe you should wear a mask.
I don’t have a mask…you got one?
I have a gorilla mask. Will that work?
If I wore that is would scare them away.
Maybe I could buy you a doggie dust mask at the pet store.
Okay! When you go will you pick me up some Beggin Strips too…I kind of like those.
Sure, Cici. If I was a dog, I bet I’d like them, too.
Thank you. Mom gives them to Cassie more than she lets dad have bacon…we’re lucky that way.
I’m glad I’m a Wombie and don’t have to watch what I eat!
Me too! Most of our grocery order is for me and Tink. Dad don’t get too much…mostly veggies, fish and chicken breast.
I don’t know how people can live on that kind of food. We need chocolate!
I know, if I ate stuff like that I would shrivel up to nothing.
Yeah, you can’t deny a Wombie his chocolate and wine gums!
I hate dusting and my apartment is one that gets dusty, So I am forced to do it more often. I hate in floor furnaces.
Maybe you could get Winky to come over and vacuum for you. He really likes vacuuming! Just don’t tell him I said so.
I hear dust bunnies can ruin a perfectly good wine gum when they drop on the floor.
I don’t know since I’ve never dropped a wine gum in my life.
I’ve dropped wine and I’ve dropped gum but never the two together.
Wine gums are too valuable to waste.
my ozzy has dust devils on his rear end i call them cling ons lol ozzy is my border collie he chases round and round trying to catch them by the time hes stopped his tail has dusted everything ditch the dust bunnies get an ozzy lol and he eats dropped sticky wine gums
We should get a dusting dog around here, then.
If ya’ can’t see it, it don’t need to be cleaned!!lol
I think I should write that one down!
I honestly gagged a little there Peter. Did you have to make it so life like?
Sorry about that. I didn’t think it was all that life-like, actually.
Bearman has experience with these things.
Perhaps he’s dust dinosaur squeamish?
I have a few of those around my house, but they are merged with dog hair.
http://joycelansky.blogspot.com
Maybe you have dust dogs then.
Dust bunnies ate my carrots 🙁
Do they eat brussel sprouts too?
Yep!
Then I need to take some into the kitchen with me!
Show them the sprouts…they’ll cling to it. Then Twink won’t make you eat them. She’s likely tell you to throw the sprouts out. but you’ll have to say good by to the fuzzy friends till more grow.
I think I could live with that! Finally a way to get rid of the sprouts!
Hail to the dust bunny! 😉
Yay dust bunny!
Is that what Tribbles from the original Star Trek look like when the get old? Gray with stray hairs?
Maybe Tribbles retire to become dust dinosaurs.
That Winky has sucked up a hedgehog 🙂
Maybe it was a hedgehog dust dinosaur!
Hooversaurus.
I bet it was! Maybe I should put it in a museum.
ive just had the hooversaurus out today you should have seen those dust bunnies scatter henry is a dust bunny catcher when hes not smoking
I’d like an automatic dust bunny catcher! Then I wouldn’t have to vacuum anymore.
This opens up a new classification of species.
Do you think we could sell them? You wanna buy some?
i wouldnt buy anything to do with dust bunnies they can do lots of damage to your choccy supply they love inflation and can consume a house in minutes ive seen dust bunnies gather under your sofa in herds even gathered around a pair of draws under a bed beware the dust bunnies lol
Well I hope they don’t take over my chocolate supply! I better make sure it’s locked away safe!
You found a treasure!
Yeah, it’s a rare find! Well maybe not so rare around here.
Dust dinosaurs are scary!
They can be! Especially the really big ones!
dust dinos are like big spider webs and sometimes theres a big black furry thing tangled in it we need a dust bunny eating black furry but not in my house lol im scared of them i think ive been on the chocolate liquers lol
Maybe Binky could make one of those things. But it might be scarier than the dust dinosaurs!
Oh, it’s really big 😉
I might not clean as often as I should.
R.I.P. Sonic the Hedgehog … I wondered what chair he died under? Cute toon! W.C.C.
He gave his life for dust bunnies everywhere.
At least he brought them a few minutes in the spotlight…
And I guess he went back to dust. . .
I think they are my cousins Winky. Can you feed them & send them home after you’ve finished playing with them???
Some of them do look like you! I’ll tell them you were asking for them. It might be a long trip home, though.
That’s strange…
I wonder how they got to Wombania ‘cos last time I looked they were still under my bed
I think they’re all over the world. Well at least in houses that maybe don’t get cleaned as much as they should.
I’ll show this comic to my wife then as a hint…
Actually I better not ‘cos if she sees my previous comment it could be bad for my health
Sometimes women are hard to figure out. Well maybe all the time. At least for me.
I keep seeing the mention of chocolate around here and now I would like some 🙂
You should come visit my chocolate factory! Free all you can eat chocolate for everyone! And I make lots of different kinds of chocolate, too!
Hopefully you are not planning chocolate dust bunnies…
No, my factory is dust free. And nothing sticks around long enough to get any dust on it anyway!
Ahahahah Fraz!
I’d love to see him in Jufrazic Park.
Jufrazic Park! That’s a great idea! I could star in my own video!
