Hmm… Typing out comments when I should be sleeping causes me to enter the wrong email. Oh well, enjoy the cute couple. I think that pic is from 12 or so years ago. That apartment got blown away by an F5 tornado 10 years ago next month.
We moved to Germany on May 3, 2010, and the tornado hit on May 22, 2011. It was in Joplin, MO. My friend has a more interesting story. He, his wife and child, moved one day before the tornado hit. He moved a few states away to start a new job. His new job was to work with a disaster relief organization.
My friend lived in the apartment complex next to mine, so needless to say his got blown away also.
When we returned for a visit we didn’t recognize the place.
That’s rather disturbing, but I’m glad you and your friend both moved away before the tornado struck. I bet he is sure glad he took that new job when he did. It’s strange how seemingly mundane decisions can be life changing.
I thought it was pretty interesting the job he went to work for helped with disaster relief in Joplin.
I’m glad we moved also. We talked to our upstairs neighbor in 2012 and her whole experience is something I never care to go through. She went downstairs to another neighbors apartment. I think remaining upstairs would have been a bad idea.
Yes, that is quite the coincidence. Or maybe it was fate?
I know some who have lived through hurricanes, and they are not pleasant, either. I don’t think any of us would like to go through those things. Especially with kids and be helpless to protect them. Nature and the weather is so much more powerful than us and all our technology. We really are at its mercy.

You have your way and I have mine. I laughed out loud.
Have a fabulous day. 🙂
My way is probably more fun!
No time to sort through things!
Bulldozing is more fun than sorting!
Chris: When I asked you to clean out the garage I meant for you to use the wrecking ball!

Well. okay, a wrecking ball would be even more fun!
Really? Were you still staying there at the time? An F5 must have caused a lot of destruction.

Haha! Well done, Winky!
It was fun and didn’t take long to clean out the garage!
Hopefully 😀
Chris didn’t really like my quick and easy way of cleaning his garage.
Well I sure don’t see a problem. A big mess requires a big solution
It sure does. Plus bulldozers are cool!
