Question about your talent… I know it’s worth more than a penny but all I can offer is my eyes reading your words. How do you create content (the text portion) for your comics? Is this how you naturally think? I always wonder if it’s a gift, natural ability, deadline pressure. I’m impressed that 3-panel comics can be so witty.
Also, do you think in 3 panels when having discussions with other people. Do you dream in 3 panels like people dream in a 2nd language when learning it. (okay, the second set of questions are just my sense of humor showing…)
I guess you’re asking how do I write the gags or come up with the ideas? Basically, it’s character based. The characters themselves define what they will or will not do, and they define how they will react in any situation. Their personalities get them into situations. The characters are always with me, and the ideas just come to me. Sometimes I have to refine or edit them for brevity.
Mostly I do two panels these days since it’s less work. And no, I don’t dream or think in 2 or 3 panels.
Thanks for the explanation. Yes, it was the gags I was curious about I just couldn’t think of the best way to say it. I think it’s amazing that one can be funny/witty with short material. 🙂

Let’s talk this over with chocolate.
I’d talk a lot for chocolate!
You should hold out for more.
I’m worth at least a dollar!
Perception is a tricky thing at times.
Have a fabulous day and week. 🙂
Especially with youngins!
You youngsters don’t know how good you have it! Now in my day we had to think for free!
Free?? No way!!
Inflation is even ruining old sayings. 😉
Yeah it should be at least a dollar! Or more!
Not worthless. A penny is worth something. Not much but something
We don’t even have pennies here!

Thanks, David. Maybe you could be my press agent?
I’ll write on my to-do list.
So you won’t be starting on Monday then?
Sometimes I have a 4 panel thought so it always ends a panel short because I do 3 panel strips
It’s good to leave them wanting more.
Oh, Fraz, you are priceless!
Tell that to Twink! Maybe she’d pay me more!
Fraz in fact a penny for your thoughts seems quite pricey 🙂
What?? My thoughts are worth a lot! I have really big thoughts!
Oops Fraz your thoughts are truly big and ‘priceless’ not ‘pricey’!
Oh. That’s a lot better!
Fraz, you are worth everything!
Maybe you could loan me a few dollars then!
