Reflections of Wisdom
Some of us don’t have a lot of wisdom to reflect.

Keep looking Winky it might turn up soon, in the meantime have some of my chocolate treats, those don’t need reflections, just a chocolate loving Wombie 🙂
The wisdom hasn’t turned up yet, but I’m enjoying the treats!
I knew that you would enjoy these triple choc mint flavoured rocket lollipops 🙂 They’re really tasty aren’t they Winky? 🙂
They sure are! Thanks, Andro! I don’t think they’ve made me any smarter though.
Wow I have snatched the prized 1st Place Chocolate Trophy twice in a row, how awesome is that 🙂
I hope Loon and Dave are
not too disappointed 🙂 lol
You’ve swept the week! That calls for an double extra super deluxe solid Wombania dark chocolate first place commenters trophy!
Wow thanks Peter, it sounds deliciously rich, but I am sure that with the Wombies, Dave and Loon helping me to eat it that the flavours will be just perfect 🙂
I hope so! I worked all week on making the trophy extra special!
My comment disappeared into the ether 🙁 I guess it got eaten by the internet cookie monster
I checked the spam and trash folders, but couldn’t find them. Sorry about that, Loon. I hope it doesn’t happen again.
Andro I told you the sleeping chocolate will work.. I am drinking super extragavant choco milkshake special celebrating your winning position! Sorry Frigginloon it must be a very sad day.. I feel for you… is it a day off holiday for us all?
Not everyone can win the first commenter trophy every week, but luckily the winner usually shares the trophy with the others so everyone gets some chocolate most of the time.
I would love feeding these Wombats, I do have foxes, squirrels, the odd hedgehog and birds to keep up with on the food treats but I would really enjoy feeding these lovely animals 🙂
It looks to me as though the film was cut short, two Wombats in the scene, I think the kind human feeder must have treated both of them, I hope so anyway 🙂
Sounds as if you have a lot of wildlife around your place, Andro. That must be nice.
I think the videographer regularly feeds the wombats that come around to his place. He has at least a couple of videos of them.
This is good to know Peter, sometimes getting to know them is a knock-on-effect for the animals, maybe not in this case but when they get used to a friendly human they can be in danger from other humans that are not so friendly. Life is cruel for so many species, I just wish that man in general were friendlier to animals and indeed humans alike. It would make a much safer and welcomed planet for all concerned. Perhaps one day 🙂
That is something I worry about, too. It’s certainly good to be nice to the wildlife, but not all humans will be, and the consequences to the animals can be grave.
Great cartooning Peter,
you never fail to please
your audience 🙂
Have a superb start to your
Thursday my great friend 🙂
Andro
Thank you, Andro.
You’re welcome Peter,
I am now looking forward
to your next cartoon 🙂
🙂
I didn’t beat Andro but I beat Loon!!!
I hope you didn’t beat Loon too much!
No just left a few bruises, barely noticeable except for her broken nose
No chocolate for you!
Well done Tony,
don’t worry there
is plenty of choc
trophy to go round
so take a piece for
yourself and enjoy
it my fine friend 🙂
I will! Thanks!
Sometimes people call me Tony.
Now Winky looks less smarter.
That video’s Ed & a friend enjoying a snack break in my backyard during filming for a new strip.
I have been having thoughts of resurrecting my “Out The Bush” site for just my animal comics…
Hmmm… What’s a guy to do???
Ed said he wanted better quality food next time or he’s going on strike.
You know I liked your animal cartoons, so I vote yes!
It’s underway!!! Ed’s setting it all up at the moment
If Ed’s doing it, it is sure to be good.
Give it a few more hours then! 😛
Still hasn’t worked! Maybe my wisdom is on vacation.
Hey it works.. But you need to be eating a huge chocolate bar while reflecting…chocolate is the answer to every problem.
Chocolate definitely is the answer to every problem! I think I need a very big bar about now!
Hey… Hello You 🙂
Not seen you around
the sphere in ages
Soma, I hope that you
have had a wonderful
week, and are now
looking forward to the
weekend 🙂 Yaaaaaay
Glad I’m not the only one! 🙂
You too? We should have some chocolate!
Well, in this case you need to define reflection. Bwahahahahahahaha.
Wombats are adorable.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
Binky always says things that don’t make sense.
One cannot gain wisdom from a mere mirror. One can only gain a homophone.
I can get a phone from the mirror??
I’ve been doing it all wrong this whole time!
Yeah I know. Someone should have told us before!
Looking at my mirror refection makes me no the wiser either.
Maybe we need to get smarter mirrors.
Didn’t know they made them.
Well they should! They make smart everythings these days.
You could always designs the first one and market it.
A smart mirror sounds more like a job for Binky. I could make a chocolate mirror!
Hi Deb,
Hope you are
having a fun
week 🙂 Yaaay
I am, and hope you are too! 🙂
I think I need a new mirror, Winky! Maybe that’s the answer and in the meantime, I have some chocolate ice cream you might like. 🙂
Great cartoon, Peter!
I think we all need new mirrors! Smart ones! And the chocolate ice cream is just what I need!
Thanks, Lauren!
The older one gets, the more time one has to reflect and gain wisdom.
http://joycelansky.blogspot.com/
I have the time, but I’m still not getting the wisdom!
You have to ASK your reflection!
I tried that! My reflection wasn’t any smarter than me!
The reflection knows all!
Maybe yours does. Mine knew nothing!
Maybe you need some glass cleaner, Winky.
That might help! I probably need some extra strength cleaner, though.
Hahahaha…I guess it’s a different reflection 😉
It must be. I wish I knew where it was, though.
When I first read this on Thursday- I smiled and grinned- I just loved it.
So today, I come back and there it is again- I smile and grin and love it!
Winky is smarter than most of us!
Great comic!
I don’t think anyone’s ever said that about me before!!
Thanks, Pam. I’m glad you liked it.
Hahaha! I have to check my reflection too 😉
It’ll probably be wiser than my reflection!
Hahahahaah Winky..you and me both…
I think maybe we need smarter mirrors!
No worries, Winky. A lot of people look in the mirror to see the world.
Maybe if I took the mirror outside I could see the world.
I love how well the little wombat uses his claws to get the food. As long as they are, it is amazing he can use them with such accuracy.
Bare-nosed wombats like this one use their front paws like hands and can actually pluck handfuls of grass from the ground and feed it to their mouths. Hairy-nosed wombats can’t do that.
