I think good deeds are sometimes better done anonymously – lest the recipient of the good deed be placed in unwelcome position with regard to the do-gooder, e.g., feeling beholden to the do-gooder, which can in turn lead to resentment !
Are you confused because I withdraw my comment knowing that you know that I will withdraw my comment based on your refusal of acknowledging my comment on principle of not posting a comment unless you acknowledge my comment for posting a comment..?
The irony is, Fraz’s refusal to acknowledge your comment, was in fact an acknowledgement of your comment since to answer it, one must acknowledge its existence in the first place.
I appreciate you supporting the funnies at Tooned In. I just have alot on my plate that needs to get done on the drawing boards. But always check back in to the updates here.
Awwww….he’s learning the secrets of life. I’m the kinda guy who will donate large sums of money by check. Somebody has to know which handsome philanthropist is responsible for such a sudden windfall. 🙂
big words… and good deeds? so that means they are rewarded in chocolate , right?
I need to go have a bite & lay down… this is to much for my brain to digest…
(not the chocolate, the big words)
There are lots of folks who do good without anyone seeing. But that’s just it, no one sees. I like people who do “little” good things like change the toilet paper when they use the last square. That’s the sign of a true good person.

I would really laugh at this if it were not so true!!! Cute graphics! W.C.C.
Yes, unfortunately I think it is true. Thanks, W.C.!
Hands up who had to Google Altruism 🙁
Only those who would never think they were the definition of it.
I did!
I’ve heard it before but can’t remember what it means. My hand goes up.
Okay, I copied the definition:
altruism — noun
1. the principle or practice of unselfish concern for the welfare of others
(From Collins English Dictionary – Complete & Unabridged 10th Edition 2009 © William Collins Sons & Co. Ltd. )
Thanks Winky!!!!
You’re welcome! I don’t usually get to teach!
Here’s my hand.
Wikipedia says, “Altruism is the renunciation of the self, and an exclusive concern for the welfare of others.”
What does “renunciation” mean?
Oh boy, this is quite an education!!!
Education? It’s summer! No educating allowed!
That’s right Fraz, just pass me a cookie!
A chocolate chip cookie!

Duncan I am tired of looking at your butt.
Is that what that is? Gross!
Finally! Somebody said it 🙂
Yep, but no one is mentioning the hole in the floor 🙁
Hole in the floor? Is that a euphemism?
But I want credit! And a reward!
Twink appears to be using a really good mascara
Twink uses only the best mascara. Actually, I have no idea.
You wouldn’t!
Altruism??? Twink, you make my little brain worked too much!!
To Fraz…if no one acknowledge your deed, will you do bad deed then?
Sorry, Kroten. But sometimes it’s good to stretch your brain.
Well…at least I found new vocabulary
Smart turtles never stop learning.
I don’t know. Will I get credit for doing bad stuff?
Well…if you did a very bad deed…you will get few years credit in jail 😉
That’s not really the kind of credit I wanted.
I will not comment on this unless someone acknowledges my comment!
I refuse to acknowledge your comment on principle.
Oh. . .
Ha!
Then I withdraw my comment about commenting on this post unless my comment gets acknowledged!
Now I’m totally confused!
Are you confused because I withdraw my comment knowing that you know that I will withdraw my comment based on your refusal of acknowledging my comment on principle of not posting a comment unless you acknowledge my comment for posting a comment..?
I’m being annoying, aren’t I ?
Ahhhh!!! My brain just exploded.
The irony is, Fraz’s refusal to acknowledge your comment, was in fact an acknowledgement of your comment since to answer it, one must acknowledge its existence in the first place.
I refuse to acknowledge your comment.
You just did! Hahaha!
There is also doing good that you directly benefit from… you might not want to rule THAT out!
I don’t know. That sounds kinda suspicious to me!
Ha, ha,ha. Just keeping it real.
I appreciate you supporting the funnies at Tooned In. I just have alot on my plate that needs to get done on the drawing boards. But always check back in to the updates here.
Thank, MJ.
Awwww….he’s learning the secrets of life. I’m the kinda guy who will donate large sums of money by check. Somebody has to know which handsome philanthropist is responsible for such a sudden windfall. 🙂
You can send me one of your large checks! I could use a big windfall!
Hahaha…
How else can Fraz put together a proper ‘credit report’!?
🙂
That’s right! I need all the credit I can get!
Yes, I suppose I’m guilty of this too. Nice work.
Guilty? I’m not guilty, I’m innocent!
A deed done unseen is a deed done well….just saying.
That sounds like something Twink would say.
While I was working I had a phrase I lived by…”No good deed goes unpunished.” It was oh so true.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
It certainly does seem that that’s true a lot of the time.
A good deed without credit is just wasted energy. (The Gospel According To Fraz Ch.3 verse 12)
I better write this down. I didn’t know I was so smart!
big words… and good deeds? so that means they are rewarded in chocolate , right?
I need to go have a bite & lay down… this is to much for my brain to digest…
(not the chocolate, the big words)
Chocolate is a pretty good reward, but I was hoping for money.

Are you saying I’m not good?
I always like to point out to people whenever I’ve done some anonymous charity work.
It’s important to take credit for your anonymous work.
Excellent graphics.
Thanks, Indrani.
Altruism IS alive and well. It’s just not living in Fraz.
That’s for sure!
This comic feels too smart for woodland creatures 🙂
That being said, I got a laugh. Nice work!
Woodland creatures? We’re actually genetically-engineered Wombies with wild wombat roots. And we’re quite domesticated.
Exactly. That’s why you wait till they see you placing your tip in the tip jar. Nicely done.
Exactly! No sense wasting a good deed (or tip) on something no one will ever know about.
Ideally it’s best to do good deeds anonymously, but I’m with Fraz!

I like to do all my bad deeds anonymously.
