Ah, accidental plagiarism.
I had a teacher in college once who gave me one chance not to make that mistake again. I think maybe I forgot to properly cite the source of a quote.
Copyright law is still a bit confusing. It’s because different companies have different rules. You can use our material if you do this and that but not if it is for that unless of course, it is for this.
It’s probably wise to have a really good editor on hand if one is going to publish a book… which I’m not in danger of.
There is fair use and satire to be considered as well. Some companies like Disney seem to go after everyone, while others aren’t so aggressive. People have taken some of my graphic designs and tried to sell them, but I don’t think anyone’s tried to sell my Wombies. Binky would not take kindly to that.
And I hope you passed that course!

Why put all that effort into writing a new one when the old one is still valid. Your teacher obviously has no sense of value for older things
