Well, at least Winky gathered up all the tools from the garage and got them together in one place for easier use. That has to count for something.
Unfortunately that one place was in the dishwasher…
If they were greasy but waterproof and have no internal cavities to catch the water (that leaves out micrometers and socket ratchet handles) running the dishwasher would actually be a good thing for sockets and open-end wrenches and the like – Automatic Dishwasher Detergent is a mild caustic and a very good degreaser if you use a full portion.
But the minute the cycle is over you have to get them out and dried off Pronto.
Some people just don’t appreciate other’s efforts.
The trouble with doing that is that it might annoy others in the family who would prefer only dishes go into the dishwasher. But it sounds like a good idea: a tool washer for the garage, with a high-heat drying cycle. Every handyman would need one!
While Winky’s in saving the world mode I know a couple of rats who need saving from a large green monster. I also have a kitchen that is getting painted this week. If he’s not doing anything for a few days…
Winky will be right over. He takes his superhero role seriously and he loves saving people. I told him there’d be plenty of chocolate and wine gums. I make no guarantees about the quality of his painting skills, however.

Apparently he did do that!

Is your real name Heloise?
No, but we’re on a first-name basis. And she has very good hints!

lol. too true.
Enjoyed this, cheers
Thanks, Richard.
That both inspired me and made me tired. I was inspired to go home and fix a few things at first but now I think I’ll take a nap.
Well at least it inspired you to take a nap, so all is not lost. Napping is very important.
Well they always say it’s the thought that counts.
And in Winky’s case, it should count for a lot.
Maybe Winky can take credit for polishing the stove? Its door is mirror-clean.
Sure, we can give him credit for that. It’s so clean, you could almost cook on it.
