Apparently, there is an answer. I asked Open AI. But do keep in mind that it is a know-it-all:
The “best before” date on chocolate is an indication of when the product is at its peak freshness and flavor. it is not a safety date, but rather a guide for consumers to know when the product is at its best quality. After the best-before date, the chocolate may still be safe to eat but the flavor or texture may not be as good.

Have a fabulous day and week. 🙂
I think it’s a mystery we’ll never solve.
Does any chocolate last past the Best Before Date???
Our chocolate barely survives getting home from the store!
Keep eating!
We will!

Well I’m glad someone knows! But I think the best time to eat chocolate is as soon as you buy it.
Honestly, I do agree, because absolutely no chocolate makes it past 2 days in our household :]
It doesn’t last here, either! I can’t imagine a house where chocolate would last a long time.
No need at all because it never lasts more than a day. 😉
Nope, chocolate never lasts the day here, either.
Chocolate is good forever. 🙂
It is? That’s something I’ll never find out, myself.
