What’s really creepy is that if you put those words through Google, you actually get some results! The words are not so new after all!
Well if new words are going to be made up, they’ll probably end up online long before they show up anywhere else. And Google will be the first to know about them.

I think Fraz has done a great service. We all get tired of hearing & speaking the same old words & need some new ones to revitalise our interest in language. So the only other thing I have to say on the matter is Zaphalot
Language is constantly evolving, but we could help it along faster by inventing our own words.
“Zaphalot” Now that gets only one result in Google, this thread. Talk about good SEO, results wise anyway. Now all the Wombats need is for someone to search for “Zaphalot” and they will be at the top of the search results!
I guess I’ll have to try to figure a way to brand “Zaphalot”. Maybe a new slogan: “If you read Wombania, you’ll zaphalot!”

Fraz is very smart. People make up words all the time and we all seem to catch on. Fraz is doing the same thing.
Fraz would agree with you that he’s very smart. Trouble is, sometimes he outsmarts himself.

I often start a sentence/thought, then half way through I realize:
a) there’s no way I can finish it correctly
b) it makes no sense. What-so-ever
I sometimes try to throw in a few made-up words in an attempt to save face. I can never quite pull it off, though. 🙂
That sounds very much like Fraz. Perhaps you two could get together and write a book: Reflections on a Wombie World.
I’m learning a new language right now and am tempted to have the same idea.
Making up a new language is a lot more fun than learning a new one.
It’s got to be tons easier too! 🙂

I used to make up my own cuss words when I was little in order to avoid getting in trouble. My parents were so irritated but they could do nothing about it because the words meant nothing to anyone but me. 😀

New words can be useful but today it seems not many are even bothering to fill out the word. They just use initials. LOL ROTFL LMAO

This could turn into a gilfirted mess that could knock the whopfozzle out of the whole fumbuzzle of society. My family has been makin’ up words as long as I can remember. We couldn’t afford a dictionary. Way to go Fraz.

I like Fraz’s thinking! isn’t that how new languages came to be? My brain is more scrambled more each day & my own words & thoughts get all mixed up, so I tend to talk side-ways. I think Fraz would understand 😉

Word themes are both here and at my site this week. Choosing the right ones is an art. So is making up new ones, I guess. I Googled “Bizabop” and actually got 23 results. Nothing in English or understandable though which I guess is the whole point.
Which is odd, since “bizabop” was on this page three times before you mentioned it, and zaphalot only occurred once, and yet it was indexed. Google is a hard nut to crack, and you often end up ranking for odd things. If you Google “national geographic cover”, some familiar faces turn up, usually in the top ten.
Well there’s only one word for this and that word is “Glazafodrak!”

making up your own words could come in handy… for one thing, no one can dispute their meaning!
