Snowflakery
No two snowflakes are supposed to be alike, but what about fake flakes?
Artist and blogger Debbie Adams sent Fraz to Alaska for a fun-filled adventure. He was later joined by Deb’s adopted Wombies, Shadow and Buzz. You see Deb’s original post The Last Frontier on her art blog.

Yay I got the 1st Prize
Chocolate Award 🙂
Happy New Year Everyone
You get the first First Place Commenter chocolate trophy of 2015!
I know, and I enjoyed it too 🙂
I’m sure it didn’t go to waste.
I like Fraz’s style
he always has a logical
reply to Binky 🙂
Nice thinking Fraz and
Happy New Year to You
and all our favourite
Wombies 🙂 Yaaaaaaay
Sometimes Binky doesn’t know everything!
Yes I agree, but he thinks that he does…
Just like most adults!
This is another fantastic
piece of Art from our great
friend Deb 🙂
Happy New Year Deb 🙂
Chocolates and wine gums
for everyone yaaaaay 🙂
Thank you, Andro!
Happy New year too!
Thanks Deb,
I think we should
start January
off with a few of
your famous milkshakes 🙂
I think three each should
be enough for starters 🙂
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay xxxx
I hope I get three, too!
But isn’t paper real?
No two url’s are the same either. Trust me I know…
My new New Years Resolution is to never change url’s again. I thought long & hard & believe I made the best decision for my crazy mixed up needs
So, which url are you at now?
The URL of discontent?
Hey I wonder it http://theurlofdiscontent.com is available???
Looks like it is, Tony!
Yeah my snowflakes are real too!
As they say, New Year’s resolutions are meant to be broken.
Fraz I was wondering, do you know more than Binky?
Sometimes I do! But Binky won’t admit it!
I knew it!
Binky doesn’t like it when you’re smarter than he is!
A short lived hypothesis.
I proved Binky wrong! Yay!
A snowflake is a snow flake and Fraz has two the same.
That’s what I say! Even if my snowflakes are fake!
There not fake, there real paper snow flakes. Here are two identical milkshakes….with two hot chocolates to chase the chill away.
All the paper snowflakes I make like that are identical! I needed those hot chocolates cause it was really cold outside!
Here two more hot chocolates. How about we fly to a tropical island later to warm up?
That’d be a good idea! Right after Shadow and Buzz and me finish our igloo fort!
We’ll pack our bags
We can leave when the fort is done. We have to have fun using it first!
No can….can’t
Yeah we need to have some Snow Wars first! I wonder if the racoon will want to play with us!
I like snow wars. I got a big pile of snowballs ready to launch.
Let’s put out some chocolate and wine gums so the racoon will like us.
That was a really good idea! Now we have someone to play snow wars with!
When are you going on a winter voyage. I’m bored out here at sea!
It’s kinda cold for pirating right now. But maybe we could sail south to South America for some treasure hunting!
I’ll give you a head start getting there…..I’ll be there when you get there.
OK! You can tell me where you are when you get there so we can meet!
I’ll be there tomorrow.
We’ll sail tomorrow for South America!
I’ll be circling your ship.
Yay! Now that we’re almost to South America, where do you want to go first?
Anywhere you want. My job is to circle your ship to protect you from other predators.
And other pirates, too!
We should go to Barbados then!
I’m staying til I get too cold to play anymore.
That’s what I do too! I hope we don’t get so cold we can’t move! Then we might be in trouble!
We could get so cold we get stiff, then we can slide down the mountain side…Yay!!
That’d be fun but then we couldn’t get back up the hill to our cabin!
I didn’t think of that. Maybe we can just go in the cabin before we get too cold and go out again later.
Yeah that’d probably be better. I like playing in the snow but I don’t want to freeze to death!
My long johns and overalls keep me warm. You want my mom to get you some?
OK! Then we could stay out playing longer!
Passing you your long johns and overalls now.
Thanks aunt Deb!
Your welcome, Fraz!
Excellent cartooning, Peter!!
Thank you, Deb!
You most welcome, Peter. Your work is always 5 stars….you never disappoint. 🙂
He just copies the stuff we do!
Yes, but he makes you do what he wants.
I don’t think so!!
You get to do whatever you want?
Well kinda sorta not really I guess.
Yea, that’s what I figured.
One day I’ll be able to do whatever I want!
Me too
I wouldn’t count on it you two.
Just wait until I get my own place!
You have a few of your own places now. Why not go to them and be the king of you domain?
I have more places than almost anyone! And I am king in all of them! On my pirate ship I’m captain which is even better!
Yes, and I think you recently went to the southern sea with you buddy Sharky.
Yep! We’re still down there now! We haven’t found any treasure yet though.
I wonder if that is really true. With so many out there, odds are the pattern has to be repeated eventually. Maybe God is tricky by placing identical snowflakes in two far away cities. You know, like one in South Miami Beach and the other in Panama City. 😉

I would like to investigate your hypothesis. I wonder if I could get a grant to Florida to do some research.
They say that everybody has a twin somewhere. Maybe that applies to snowflakes. Also who has ever examined & catalogued every single snowflake that has ever fallen, including the ice age, to prove the non-identical theory??? A theory until proven remains sheer speculation
Except for the theory of trans-migrational-urls. “PROVEN” & “MYTH CONFIRMED”
You would definitely be the expert in that field.
Although unproven from an observational standpoint, the theory is based on the complexity of a typical snowflake and the number of variations possible. If a snowflake of a few ice crystals could be considered a snowflake, then there would likely be duplicates.
Technical stuff.
That’s why I don’t ask Binky questions!
I understand.
Me too
We probably shouldn’t tell Binky though!
That would be best…mums the word
Yep!
Ah…I guess it’s like our finger prints. I never knew that before, thatnk you Bink.
Happy New Year guys 🙂
That is a good analogy. Each snowflake has its own fingerprint.
But there are more snowflakes than human, they have more fingerprint then
Yes, exponentially more snowflakes than humans. It must be a pretty huge number.
Happy New Year, Novia!
Well, he’s got a point. 😉
I think so!
Fraz will prove his point.
It’s hard to prove it to Binky though.
The fakes don’t count right? I didn’t think so.
Have a fabulous day filled with chocolate. 🙂
Well I think they should count!
You have to be specific with some people and some Wombats.
That is very true.
Thank you for posting my drawing, Peter! 🙂
You’re welcome, Deb! I was glad to post it.
🙂
No two snowflakes are alike, except for the ones that are!
Try and tell that to Binky!
Fraz is a cut above the rest.
Yay me!
Debbie, I love your drawing!
Thank you, Mark! 🙂
Deb always does nice stuff.
Thank you, Peter! 🙂
🙂
Way to challenge the norm Fraz!!! Love the look on Fraz’s face in the final frame.
Deb’s art is STELLAR as always!
Thank you, Pam! 🙂
Thanks, Pam!
I like Fraz’s mischievous eyes in the second frame. 🙂
I didn’t believe Binky!
I know you didn’t. You showed him your on evidence of proof.
Even after I showed him I still don’t think he believed me though!
Pride before the fall, but don’t tell him I said that….he’ll yell at me.
I won’t!
thank you
Oh yes two snow flakes are not the same – but imagine what would happen if two of the Wombies Fraz and Binky were to be the same?
A Happy New Year to all the wonderful Wombies!
I don’t think I could ever be the same as Binky! Not in a million years!
Happy New Year, Dilip!
I can verify. In all my years of searching, I’ve never found two of the same either.
I think you need to search more!
Ah. A contrarian, i see!
I dunno. Does that mean I don’t believe Binky?
Fraz, Little V is making these. She wishes the cold would turn into snow.
Little V should come up to Alaska with me! There’s lots of cold and snow up there!
Great combination of cartooning and Deb’s art, Peter!
Thanks, Lauren.
Does this fact apply to corn flakes?
What about just plain ol’ flakes, like my neighbor?
I dunno about cornflakes. A lot of them look alike to me!
We have some flaky neighbors too!
Maybe we can invent a flaky superglue? not sure it will work on your neighbours though.
I wouldn’t use it on my neighbors. I don’t want them to stick around!
