TV Shows That Stink
As the quality of television programming seems to deteriorate with each passing year, a lot of TV shows could use better deodorant.
Meanwhile, Binky has made a surprise guest appearance in the ButterSword comic strip. How he managed to get over to the ButterSword universe, he’s not saying, but it’s easy for you. Just follow the link to ButterSword and enjoy the many misadventures of Curtis and Ann.
I prefer blogging or reading to watching tv
Do people still actually read these days?
I read…a lot 🙂
Hopefully we can cure you of that.
Impossible. Nothing better than a good book…even if it is on a iKindle 🙂
You sound like one of those dangerous independent thinkers.
That is a novel interpretation. 🙂
Or a TV interpretation.
I agree with Binky.;-)
All of TV stinks. It does not matter how many channels; they’re all reruns or just plain garbage. :-/
There are some good channels like the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, but most of TV isn’t worth the time to watch it.
Yes, you are right, those are good programs, but I still get reruns of them.
It seems as if there were a lot more reruns this year than before. And still a gross lacking of wombat-related shows!
Maybe it’s the TV company telling its audience that they think they stink! 🙂
Well I think the TV company stinks!
Ultimate product placement!!!
They’re experts at selling us stuff.
Yes, by telling us what is wrong with us.
We need their products to feel good, to fit in, and to be more popular.
and smell better!!!
That’s one of the most important things!
Hahaha… smells like it might be time to exercise the remote!
🙂
But not too much, otherwise you might get all sweaty and stinky.
Hahaha…
yeah, and knowing my luck I’d probably pull something, too!
🙂
Thumb splints!
I tried that WOW deodorant because it was on sale but it smelled like my grandmothers house. Yuck. I hate T.V. commercials because they always show food like pizza and it makes me want to eat the pizza and that stinks too.
I never tried the Wow deodorant. Personally I like pizza commercials because they remind me I should eat some and that makes me happy.
If their deodorant works, then they should use it on the show… will it give it better ratings? No one knows…
But at least it might mask the stench.
Very funny. Clever take on TV advertising
Thanks, Frank.
hahaha if only that were true, I would ask the directors of Jersey Shore to put those ads up!
I’ve never seen Jersey Shores, but from what I’ve heard I think it might need more than deodorant.
Funny and true. I think most of daytime TV has ads like that so… this is closer to reality than you think.
A lot of TV programs could probably use these kinds of commercials.
Well, as they say “Something’s rotten in Denmark”. I hope that show learns how to clean up their act. 🙂
Why clean up when you can just cover up the stink with deodorant?
Haha! Hjörtur could use one of those!
I can get him an extra-special price.
I don’t know why I pay for Pawns Internet access.
I know exactly what you mean!
That’s a great drawing of you up there, Binky!
I must agree with you! I think MC caught my good side.
I used to love The X Files…they dont make that kind of TV show anymore 🙁
Good observation Bink….and your drawing looks cute
The X-Files was pretty good. A little strange sometimes, but always interesting. Mostly I like documentaries now. And sometimes old SF movies.
ahh…no wonder you are so smart Binky!
I’ve learned everything I need to know from old science fiction films!
Advertisers always mention that their product eliminates pet odors and smelly shoe odors. They should also mention stinky program odors! But then again, maybe even deodorant won’t help a really noxious show!
I think they’d have to invent a super-strong deodorant to mask most of today’s noxious TV shows.
Haha! Universes collide! I find ways…
Thanks for the spot and the link! Wombania rules! 🙂
The Wombuttersword Universe would be an interesting place, that’s for sure!
That’s a great drawing of Binky, MC!
Now everyone take the transporter and beam on over to ButterSword and help Binky get back home.
I never thought of it that way. I know a few shows that fit that bill. thank you for clearing it all up for me.
We feel it’s our job to de-stinkify TV.
Yes I really like this one Binky, very, very funny 🙂 lol
Thanks, Andro. Do the undead need extra strong deodorant, too?
I hardly watch anymore. Prime time network TV has been a loser for me for 20 years or more. I don’t think a strong enough deodorant for that exists! I used to watch some of the “educational” programming. For a while years ago The Leaning Channel and the Discovery Channel had OK stuff. Have you seen what passes for content their now?
Maybe they need to bring this back: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wombat_%28TV_series%29
The Discovery Channel does seem to be going for more entertainment value than educational, but there still are some good show. But you bring up an interesting point: I bet there would be a strong market for a serious documentary channel.
I never heard of that Wombat show before. Maybe I could revive it!
hahaha… I was giggling like crazy 🙂 I think, that many tv shows stink 😉
Unfortunately, far too many TV shows stink these days.
I have found me a new comic to read during the week. These are awesome comics. Great stuff must think Buttersword for sending me over here.
Thanks, Fredselfish!I’ll have to send Buttersword some good Wombie vibes.
I’m glad we can’t smell a lot of the stuff on the TV set.

Yes, we’re lucky we don’t have smell-o-vision TV.
Makes perfect sense to me….or is that scents? Bwhahahahahahahaha.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
I don’t think you want the scents of most of those TV shows.
Ha,ha,ha!
🙂
