I use YNAB (budget company). I have paid annually $45. They have a new CEO and they updated my price to $90. I’m not sure if the new CEO has anything to do with it. I am leaving YNAB after using them for years and going with a cheaper and works just as great smaller budgeting software called Buckets. I’m thankful to YNAB for teaching me how to manage my money but I can’t pay the 100% price increase. Needless to say, I dislike updates also.
Unfortunately, things like that happen often. They figure they can charge twice as much, and maybe lose only 25% of their customers, and still make more money. I would not doubt it is because of the new CEO. They have to pay his highly inflated wage somehow.
They updated that today!
And they didn’t need to!
There is some truth to this. Frightening isn’t it.
Have a fabulous day and week. 🙂
They’re trying to make sure we keep buying their newer product.
The updates help keep planned obsolescence on schedule
I’m glad they’re not able to update us!
I agree, Twink! It’s so frustrating!
It is. And most of the time we can’t do anything about it.
Updating on wordpress maid me stop using it.
I can understand. Updating gets very annoying.

I wouldn’t mind managing your money! I’ll do it for $0 a year!
It’s a conspiracy
A conspiracy to keep making us buy the newest version.
