Thinning The Online Herd
If you find you’re online more than you’re off, you may have to consider taking drastic measures to reduce your circle of friends and thin the herd. Just don’t drop any of your artist friends, or you may regret it.
Our good friend, Debbie Adams, an artist of many talents, has done it again! This time she’s painted a great portrait of Winky. Winky says, “I’ve never looked better! Or thinner!”
And don’t forget to take a look at the rest of Debbie’s Art on her website!

what happens when the tranquiliser wears off?
That’s the hard-to-explain-why-you-tranquilized-them part!
In the past I deleted many people from perf, but only those, who have never talked to me. Now I have no heart too for thinning the online herd. Besides I know from my own experience, that sometimes people need a time to become friends. Not everybody is kissing ad hugging you from 1st moment of meeting 😉
Have a great day Binky 🙂
By the way, Winky looks great on Debbie’s portrait.
It’s the ones you never interact with that are the easiest to let go. And the ones that never send you any chocolate.
Perf huh? That’s awkward 🙁
My herd is thin enough 🙂
So long as they don’t make you look fat!
That’s because your scent scares them off.
and the cattle prod 🙂
Watch where you’re pointing that thing!
You do look thinner, Winky, or is it just good posture? Give up friends is not an easy thing to do.
I think it’s just good painting. Debbie captured my inner thinner self!
Been there, done that, just as Sabina has. Sometimes you just have to do what you got to do.
BTW: Thanks for the plug, and it pings right back to you too!
I wondered what that pain was!
Hahaha…
YEeeeeooouch!
What just bit me in the neck?!
🙂
Sorry, Robert, you had to go!
Ooh let me borrow that thing.
Only if you’ll be careful. And not use it on any of us Wombies.
Hey! *bang bang bang* Hey! Somebody let me out of this closet! Hello?! *bang bang bang*
🙂
Quit complaining and eat your chocolate. That should calm you down. Next week, we might even give you a light bulb.
No need to thin the herd. Not when you got a smart phone. You can
Split the the herd in half. Visit half on the phone and the other half
Online. If that dont help then you can shoot them with the darts.
I don’t have a smart phone, but that does sound like a good idea. And less messy than the darts.
A little tranquilizer dart before bedtime never hurts!
As long as it isn’t you getting tranquilized!
Yes I know what you mean Binky and having lots of great friends means that you have to hide all the chocolates too, or… Well they get scoffed of course 🙂 lol Have a wicked rest of Thursday now Binky and don’t forget to hide yours 😉
I don’t mind sharing my chocolates, but they only go so far. Maybe I should get a safe.
Haha! Great comic.
I think most people just increase the herd and ignore the herd.
Um… Not me though.
But maybe you could move the herd to a different pasture?
Great art by Deb. Her previous Binky was how I found her website initially.
Sending the herd to pasture might accomplish the same thing.
Debbie’s Binky was good, but the painting of me is better!
Aw, so glad yo like it Winky.
Of course I like it! It’s not every day I get painted in oils!
Thinning the herd is indeed difficult. I don’t do it very often either. I’ve never even thought about using a tranquilizer dart though. Well up until now.
Love Debbie’s work on Binky. Very nicely done and Binky approves so there you have it.
Have a terrific day. 😉
I suspect there may soon be a run on tranquilizer darts!
Thinning the herd sounds pretty drastic. I deleted my Facebook Account & culled the whole herd in one foul swoop.
Actually I’ve never seen a fowl swoop. Magpies, hawks & eagles yes, but never chickens
I think a fowl swoop sound more drastic as it eliminates everyone at once, good or bad. Maybe you could have employed some sort of fowl filter to eliminate only the bad ones?
It was drastic but I never use it so deletion was the answer
Deletion is the answer we never want to face.
I wonder what the internet equivalent of the tranquilizer dart would be. Maybe “hide” on facebook.
Facebook could really use a “hide forevermore” button.
Maybe if I thinned the online herd, I’d thin myself too.

It might, but I don’t guarantee it.
Tranquilize them and then tag their ear. Also put GPS tracker chips in them so you can see ’em coming.
And don’t forget the electric boundary fence to keep them away, too. Some of those ex-friends are pretty persistent.
No! Don’t unfriend me!
Continued friendship can be guaranteed with periodic deliveries of chocolate.
I’m thankful that I’m not one of Twink’s online friends
Yes, parting ways with Twink can sometimes be painful.
Sometimes you gotta just do it. Love the reflection on the desk by the way!
Thanks, Chris. We use a lot of Pledge around here.
I only have about 3 head of cattle. I don’t use tranquilizers on them. Makes the milk taste funny.
I wouldn’t use tranquilizers on cattle, either. That’s inhumane.
I only use tranquilizers on ex-friends.
For a genius, Binky is clueless to online world…i wonder why
You don’t believe tranquilizer darts would work? Well, not on you, you have a hard shell.
Haha I’d definitely have to thin out the herd too, but I feel for her! She can look away as Binky can thin it out for her hehe
Twink will have to thin out her own herd. I don’t want to shoot anyone!
My herd just got bigger..,
You can always borrow my darts if your herd gets out of control.
I heard Winky was thinner and that Twink was thinning the herd. So I hurried on over to see if what I heard about the thin Winky and thinning Twink was true.
I don’t think my thinning the herd had anything to do with Winky appearing thinner in his portrait, though tranquilizer darts may have a thinning effect on some. Let me know if you’d like to try that.
Oh please Binky I hope I make the cut – DON’T thin me please!!!! Always love the toons! W.C.C.
A few chocolates go a long way to keep you on my good side (no one on my good side gets thinned).
Hey, don’t cut ME off, Binky! “I love you long time”. 🙂 Debbie does a fantastic job at rendering the cuteness of the Wombania characters. Kudos, Deb!
Yes, Debbie does a great interpretation of the Wombies.
Don’t worry, George. As long as you keep up that supply of chocolates, you’ll be fine.
I know this may sound shallow of me… but my life goal is to make 1000 online friends and get a huge TV to play video games 😉
Sounds good to me! Especially if there are some chocolate snacks.
